A stool manufactured using CNC technology in collaboration with Samantha Shields. The seat model was first modeled in computer to include mortise joints that fit with CNC lathe-turned legs. The precision of the CNC routed parts allowed for easy and accurate assembly aided by custom made jigs. As a means to counterbalance the relatively rigid nature of the fully computer aided components, organically hand dyed fabric was used for the upholstery to harmonize with the overall design of the stool.
